Hugh Jackman will Host the 2009 Oscars

As reported by ET, the Australian who has been named as the ‘People’ Sexiest Man on earth, Hugh Jackman, will host the 2009 Oscars on February 22 next year on ABC. This actor is not a comedian and he has hosted the Tony Awards telecast three times.

Breaking with tradition, the Academy has chosen an actor rather than a comedian, going with the recent “People” Sexiest Man Alive, and ‘Australia’ star Jackman. The Aussie has hosted the Tony Awards telecast three times.
