Both in the movie or in the real life, Sarah Jessica Parker and her character Carrie Bradshaw in the Sex and the City movie is a fashion enthusiast. In the movie, Carrie has been described as someone who “lives for fashion,” and has confessed to buying Vogue Magazine instead of dinner. As mentioned on Wikipedia, she known as a shoe lover with an affinity for expensive designer shoes (notably Manolo Blahniks, but also Christian Louboutin and Jimmy Choo), Carrie claims she has spent over $40,000 on shoes. Her pairs seem to average around $450-500, and it is implied that she has at least, if not more than, 100 unique pairs.

Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week is a semiannual fashion week held in New York City. It is one of four major fashion weeks in the fashion industry. The Spring 2009 Fashion Week was held September 5–12 last year, the Fall 2009 Fashion Week was held February 13–20, 2009, and the upcoming Spring 2010 Fashion Week will be held September 10–17, 2009. And what I want to mention right now is the upcoming show only. Admission is by invitation only, to the fashion industry, fashion press, assorted celebrities, and internet based Fashion press (e.g. District L, Fashionista, FWD).
